Tony Hollingsworth
President and Chief Executive Officer
Tony has assumed various roles in the management of healthcare
organizations and has dedicated himself to serving the specialty of
anesthesiology in every way possible. He is well recognized and
respected by his colleagues and peers in anesthesia practice management.
As the senior administrator for the Anesthesia Department at Vanderbilt
Medical Center for fifteen years, and was instrumental in the
development of that position in other clinical departments. As founding
member of the Administrators Group of the Southeastern University
Department of Anesthesiology Chairmen, he was on the cutting edge of
administrative leadership activities for anesthesiologists. He
participated in the inaugural meeting of the Anesthesia Administration
Assembly of the Medical Group Management Association, is a former
officer and remains active with the organization.
In addition to his experience in anesthesia management, Tony served
as Administrator of a large, multi-specialty clinic, Executive Director
of an independent practice association and Chief Operations Officer for a
seventeen physician otolaryngology practice. He has consulted with
family, orthopedic and otolaryngology practices.
He obtained his Bachelors of Business Administration at Belmont
University in Nashville and his Masters of Healthcare Administration
from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
Carol Katz
Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer
Carol brings a long history of business and financial expertise to
Anesthesia Business Solutions. She has specialized in healthcare
financial management since 1981 and previously served as the CFO for a
physician practice management company with revenues in excess of $30
million.
Carol spent more than eight years at a publicly traded proprietary
health care organization where she was the CEO and responsible for all
operational and financial activities of this $20 million community
mental health center.
Carol has served in leadership positions of other behavioral health
organizations, directed the financial operations of a major government
contractor and served as Director of Fiscal Systems for New England’s
largest IPA model HMO.
She earned her Bachelors of Business Administration at the University
of Massachusetts and her Masters in Business Administration from Babson
College.
Shirley Korabek
Billing Operations Manager
Prior to joining ABS, Shirley spent seven years as the Business
Office Manager for a large skilled nursing facility where she performed
all billing and collection functions, as well as supervised all office
staff. For two years, she served as a Management Consultant to a
centralized billing office that performed both hospital and physician
billing, and she spent ten years as the Business Administrator of a
large psychology practice. Shirley has also managed offices for a
radiation oncology center and a physical therapy clinic.
With over 20 years’ experience in medical billing, Shirley oversees
the coding, data entry, claim submission, and payment posting functions
of our Operations Center . She is the liaison between our Nashville and
Tampa locations and performs many of our IT functions.
Shirley holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Information
Processing from Southwestern Michigan College. She regularly attends
seminars and conferences in order to stay on top of the always changing
rules associated with medical billing and coding. As a critical member
of the leadership team at ABS, Shirley participates in all operational
aspects of the company.
Amy Grimm
Collections Manager
Amy has been in the medical billing/collections business for over 30
years. She has managed start-up operations of central billing offices for large
single specialty physician groups on the west coast of Florida including
OB/GYN providers in Tampa and family practice groups in Sarasota. She
was introduced to hospital-based physician billing for anesthesiologists,
radiologists and emergency room physicians while working for a billing
company in Colorado. There she managed a collection team for three
different radiology groups and was responsible for training new employees. She
also served on the Billing Software Upgrade Committee. Before returning to
Florida, she managed a team of 30 collectors for an anesthesia billing
company in California, leading the team in collections for several
groups of anesthesiologists based in hospitals across Southern California,
including UCLA.
Amy has an Associate of Science degree in computer programming. She has
been with ABS for 5 years and manages the collection department. During this
time period, her team has doubled in size and is currently staffed with a
group of dedicated and extremely competent collectors.
